Several artists are using ferro fluids to build dynamic moving sculpture that always impressed the public during exhibitions.
A sublime example of this art is the work and research of the Japanese female artist Sachiko Kodama:
Sachiko began work on a ferrofluid art project since 2000, under the name of "Protrude, Flow". The theme of this project is the dynamic movement of liquids . Kodama is currently an associate professor at University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo.
Her work has already been exhibited at:
- Ars Electronica Center in Linz
- National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts
- Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography
- Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus
- Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles
- Science Museum of Tokyo
- The National Art Center of Tokyo
